“This course introduces students to writing as a conscious and developmental activity. Students learn to read, think, and write in response to a variety of texts, to integrate their ideas with those of others, and to treat writing as a recursive process. Through this work with texts, students are exposed to a range of reading and writing techniques they can employ in other courses. Students work individually and collaboratively, participate in peer review, and learn to take more responsibility for their writing development.” -UNE

The English 110 class to me can be described as the engagement one has with reading and writing. This class not only focuses on the interaction between peers and how they view and analyze each others work, but also how one can view and adjust their work. I have noticed that careful thought and engagement with text is not only important but crucial in literacy. English 110 has taught me how to annotate, integrate ideas, revise, peer review, document work, and address my errors. These new skills I have learned throughout the course provide da stepping stone into the rest of my literacy career that I will cherish forever. My literacy growth has been documented here in this E-portfolio. Under my blog is how I have tackled homework problems that challenged me but became easier the more I learned. Under this page is a series of other pages that shows all that I have learned throughout this course despite having not realized it at first.
