“This course studies ecology, evolution, energy processes, genetics and cellular structure and function . There is an Emphasis on the interactions between living and nonliving things as well as the interrelationships between living organisms (including humans). Issues in science, technology and society are also explored. The laboratory emphasizes the process of science, and students are to practice skills scientists use to answer questions about the natural world.” -UNE

This course showcases the interaction between all living things and the earth. It demonstrates the interactions one has with all living things and how it causes a chain reaction among organisms. I find this course important because it teaches the basics of cell structures, functions, energy processes, and genetics which is important for a biology major. Such learning concepts can be seen in my biology lab write up. This write up is about the effects of NaCl on the eating habits of Tetrahymena thermophila which was an experiment conducted in Biology 105 Lab.
